Leadership Development: Online Course

Instructional Activity Description:

This activity is designed to teach students about various leaders from colonial times through the 21st Century. Students will read text and determine why various individuals were considered as leaders in time. Students will analyze the various leadership styles and how these attitudes affect communication, collaboration, creativity, research and innovation. Students will support their viewpoint by providing evidence from the text. Students will engage in collaborative learning and will participate in Project Based Learning to make a connection between the information presented and relevant issues.

By the end of this course students should demonstrate knowledge of leadership and individuals who are identified as leaders through the colonial times through 21st Century. Students will be able to digest complex text and use writing to support their argument. Through writing students will be able to use textual evidence to support their claims.
